Our Pastors

Lead Pastor - Dan Harrison

Pastor Dan Harrison, hailing from Toms River, NJ, joins us as the new Lead Pastor at Ravenna Assembly of God. With a rich history of ministry, Pastor Dan served as theYouth/Worship/Associate Pastor at First Assembly of God since 2011. His journey with God began with a miraculous start as prayers granted him the gift of life despite medical odds. At 16, Pastor Dan experienced a profound encounter with God's love, leading him to surrender his future to ministry. After earning his Master of Divinity and Clinical Pastoral Counseling degree, Pastor Dan delved into counseling adolescent offenders before answering the call to New Jersey. Alongside his wife Tiffany, they nurtured a growing family and ministry, fostering compassion and leadership in their children, Gabriela, Luke, Timothy, Hannah, and Samuel. Now, they embark on a new chapter a Ravenna Assembly, eager to witness God's continued blessings and movement.

BELIEFS

The Scriptures Inspired

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the final authority for faith, life, and truth, revealing God’s will to mankind.

The One True God

We believe in one eternal, all-powerful God—Creator of heaven and earth—revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, sinless in life, mighty in miracles, and risen from the dead, now exalted at God’s right hand.

The Fall of Man

We believe humanity was created good but chose to sin, resulting in spiritual separation from God and a need for salvation through Jesus Christ.

The Salvation of Man

We believe salvation is a free gift made possible by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, received by repentance and faith, bringing forgiveness and new life.

The Ordinances of the Church

We believe water baptism and Holy Communion are sacred ordinances commanded by Christ, symbolizing our new life in Him and celebrating our ongoing relationship with Him.

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe all believers should seek the baptism in the Holy Spirit, empowering them with boldness, spiritual gifts, and deeper intimacy with God for victorious Christian living.

The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe speaking in tongues, as experienced on the Day of Pentecost, is the initial physical evidence of baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Sanctification

We believe sanctification is a lifelong process of becoming more like Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, as we separate ourselves from sin and grow in holiness.

The Church and Its Mission

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, called to worship God, disciple believers, reach the lost, and serve the world with the message of salvation and hope in Jesus.

The Ministry

We believe God calls and equips every believer for ministry, raising up pastors, evangelists, missionaries, and leaders to build the Church and fulfill the Great Commission.

Divine Healing

We believe divine healing is provided through Christ’s atonement and is a vital part of the Gospel, bringing restoration and wholeness to body, mind, and spirit.

The Blessed Hope

We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ to rapture His Church, a living hope that inspires purity, perseverance, and passion in every believer.

The Millennial Reign of Christ

We believe Jesus Christ will return with His saints to reign for a thousand years, bringing peace, justice, and the fulfillment of God’s kingdom on earth.

The Final Judgment

We believe there will be a final judgment where the wicked will be separated from God’s presence, but believers will be rewarded with eternal life with Christ.

The New Heavens and the New Earth

We believe God will create a new heavens and a new earth where righteousness dwells, and where believers will live forever in the presence of God.
